Hi, I’m Anley – a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong passion for both pets and people. After graduating from Harper Adams University in 2015, I spent seven rewarding years working in a local veterinary practice before returning to Harper Adams in 2022—this time as a teacher—where I now share my enthusiasm for veterinary nursing with the next generation. Alongside teaching, I’ve always felt a spark to create something of my own: a space that brings together my hands-on experience, love for education, and deep care for animals into something truly meaningful. This new venture is all about building a platform that reflects the heart of veterinary care, education, and community. I’m so excited to be on this journey and to share it with fellow pet lovers, students, and anyone curious about what’s to come. Most importantly, I’d love to introduce you to Kristoff, my rat.

Hi, I’m Kate – I’ve been working as a vet in and around the Newport area for about eight years now. Having grown up in Shropshire, I’m proud to now be raising my own family here—I feel deeply connected to the local community and strongly believe in building a solid foundation for future generations. I love being a general practice vet and really enjoy the variety and challenges each day brings. What excites me most is forming lasting relationships with both pets and their people, becoming a familiar and trusted face.

Hi, I’m Sam – I graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from the University of Edinburgh in 2010, and I’ve been working as a small animal vet ever since. I love how varied and unpredictable the job is! My main area of interest is soft tissue surgery, and my happy place is definitely the operating theatre—usually with me singing (badly) along to whatever’s playing in the background. I also really enjoy getting to know my patients, and being able to make a tangible difference to an animal’s quality of life is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I live near Newport with my family, our dog, and a small flock of rather badly behaved hens. I truly believe that Nova Veterinary Centre can offer something special to the pets of Newport and their owners and we can’t wait to meet you.

Hi, I’m Lucy – a Registered Veterinary Nurse with 13 years of experience in the industry. I qualified in 2016 and feel incredibly proud of the journey I’ve taken in my nursing career so far. I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter! I’m extremely passionate about all things anaesthesia and medicine, and I love getting to know my patients. I’m a firm believer in being their voice and advocate, especially when they need it most. I’ve got a soft spot for Labradors and bunnies, with a little clan of my own at home. I really can’t wait to bring my love for nursing and animals to Nova.

I’ve been a veterinary receptionist for over 10 years, and I’m so excited to be joining the amazing team at Nova. At home, I have three cats, two guinea pigs, and a four-year-old daughter who all keep me on my toes—and when I’m not running around after one of them, you’ll usually find me in my craft room making kids’ room décor. I’ve always had a love for animals, and I can’t wait to meet all your furry friends. We’re really looking forward to seeing you all very soon!

Hi, I’m Liz – a passionate animal lover with a background in equine veterinary practice on the south coast. I relocated to Shropshire with my family last year and have been enjoying the quieter, more rural lifestyle alongside my horse and four dogs. I’m really looking forward to starting my new role at Nova Vets and becoming part of this exciting new chapter.

Hi – I’m Sian, one of the receptionists here at Nova Vets. I’ve been working as a veterinary receptionist for 4 years now and finally found my calling. I love being in this job, but I do get very easily distracted by dogs!
It’s been such a lovely first week here at Nova, and I already feel so welcome. I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you and your wonderful pets!
