Lifetime Care Plan Terms

When taking out a Nova Lifetime Care Plan subscription, you are accepting these terms and conditions. It is important to read them carefully, and please ask a member of staff if you have any queries. If you would like a copy of these terms and conditions in larger print – please ask at reception.

 

  1. Overview

The Lifetime Care Plan is a monthly subscription designed to support pets requiring long-term or chronic medication. The plan provides ongoing clinical monitoring and access to medication at reduced cost.

Enrolment in the plan constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions alongside our general Terms & Conditions of Sale.

  1. Eligibility
  • The plan is available only to pets already diagnosed with a chronic or long-term condition requiring ongoing medication.
  • Acceptance onto the plan is at the sole discretion of the veterinary surgeon.
  • Your pet must be under the active care of Nova Veterinary Centre.
  1. Monthly Payments
  • The plan is payable by monthly Direct Debit only.
  • Payments are collected in advance.
  • Fees are subject to annual review and may be adjusted with at least 30 days’ notice.
  1. What’s Included

The Plan includes:

  • One clinical check-up every 3 months for on-going monitoring and review of the previously diagnosed condition.
  • Access to prescribed medications at a reduced price in practice, the medication will be available for you to collect directly from the practice.
  1. Medications
  • Medications are provided at a discounted rate, but prices may vary depending on supplier costs.
  • We aim to remain competitive with online pharmacies, but prices are not guaranteed to match all external providers.
  • All medications are subject to veterinary approval and clinical need.
  • Medication may require ordering from our supplier, in which case it will be ready to collect from 2pm the following working day after your appointment.
  1. Clinical Compliance
  • To remain on the plan, you must attend all recommended clinical check-ups.
  • Failure to attend scheduled reviews may result in:
    • Suspension of medication supply
    • Removal from the plan
  1. Fair Usage
  • The plan is intended for reasonable and appropriate use based on your pet’s clinical needs.
  • We reserve the right to:
    • Limit quantities dispensed
    • Review usage patterns
    • Remove clients from the plan if misuse is suspected
  1. Minimum Term & Cancellation
  • The Plan has a minimum term of 12 months.
  • If you cancel before the end of the minimum term, we reserve the right to:
    • Recover the difference between discounted and standard pricing
  • Cancellation requires 30 days’ notice.
  1. Missed Payments
  • If a payment fails:
    • Plan benefits will be suspended immediately
    • Medication may be charged at standard pricing
  • Continued non-payment may result in termination of the plan.
  1. Changes to the Plan

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify plan benefits
  • Adjust pricing
  • Withdraw the plan

With reasonable notice provided to clients.

  1. Non-Transferable
  • The plan applies only to the registered pet and cannot be transferred.
  1. Liability
  • The plan does not replace pet insurance.
  • All treatments remain subject to clinical judgement.
